What non-US plane is closest to the F-35 in capabilites?

There's a number of planes emerging that are 5th gen or near 5th gen: J-20, Su-57, Kaan, KF-21, J-35, etc...

Among them, which plane do you consider to be closest to the F-35 in capabilities, including stealth, sensors, networking, weapons suite, etc?

Very close race between the KAAN and J-35 but honestly I think the J-20 is a distance third.

If you mean right now, then the answer is clearly J-20 as it's the only one that is in widespread operational use. If they get fully developed, then it's a toss-up between KAAN and J-35. Right now both are very much prototypes, more like X-35 was. J-35 looks more like F-35 in both appearance and specs, but KAAN seems to have weapons and many systems more similar to F-35.

Yes, I tend to agree with you.
However and since KAAN, J-35 and KF-21 are included in the poll (and all 3 are prototypes at this stage) then I imagine that this same poll was intended as a sort of analysis for what will be in the near future.
As such, I voted for the J-35 (the only one, LoL ) since I believe it will be somehow better than the J-20 or at least more cost effective than J-20 and just like the F-35, the J-35 will be build in more than one variant, in this case one for conventional runways and another one for carriers so one more area of capabilities where the J-35 may get closer to the F-35, compared to all the other aircraft in the poll.

On top of this, I'm very skeptical about KAAN and while it seems to be a cool plane, the KF-21 doesn't come close to the F-35 in terms of capabilities.

Yes, clearly a great deal of speculation on everyone's part. As we know little about the true capabilities of the J-20 let alone the J-35 and KAAN.

That said, the latter two are much newer and they have learned a lot since the introduction of the J-20.
