Belgian F-35's at Luke AFB
The 312 FS, an US-Belgian conversion unit (BCU) based at Luke AFB, has received its first planes. Interesting, the aircraft have received their USAF serials on the nose undercarriage door, replacing there the Belgian serial in the FLxxx range still carried on the tail.

The full USAF serial number or only the last four digits? Some of our Dutch F-35A at 308th FS have got the last four digits.

Last four digits are last 4 of the total serial (or FY) number. But the Belgians are FL001 till FL004 (22-5762 till 22-5765). FL005 till FL008 not yet known.

Belgian pilot, with combat experience in the F-16, first impressions of the F-35, in French. In short he’s very impressed.
